The Leona Cordoba models bring a fresh vibe to Cordoba’s Acero series, a line of boutique, all-solid steel string guitars directly influenced by the Spanish tradition. Like all Aceros series instruments, the Leonas feature a hybrid X/fan bracing pattern, and a Spanish heel neck joint. The bracing design features an X pattern on the upper bout that can withstand the tension of steel strings, while 5 additional braces fan out below the soundhole To provide the Leonas with the light, resonant qualities typically associated with nylon string guitars. The Spanish heel neck joint provides additional stability. These unique features along with the Leonas’ all-solid woods provide a balanced, rich tone. The smaller body size, comparable to the ever-popular 00 shape, makes the Leona a good choice for fingerstyle, blues, jazz, and folk music.
