Lester LeRoy McMasters worked as a patternmaker in the US Navy, while at the same time doing minor repairs and setups on musical instruments. In 1982 he founded McMasters Guitars which he later expanded in 2001 into a new workshop in Hermiston, Oregon. McMasters offers hand made custom acoustic and electric guitars as well as mandolins.
