Information:
James Edward Patterson (1927 - 2014) was a Santa Cruz luthier who made his first guitar in 1962. He continued building them in his spare time and eventually made around 306 acoustic guitars. In his day job he worked as the printer for the City of Santa Cruz for almost 40 years. He retired from his printing job when he was 62 but carried on making guitars.
