Information:
Joachim Schneider (born 1939) is a German luthier. He started out by working at his grandfather Willy Blahowetz's workshop - his family have been making stringed instruments since 1894. By 1961 he finished his training and gained the “Meisterprüfung” certifcate - taking over his grandfather's workshop in 1962. He was joined in the business by his sons Steffen & André in the 1980s and 1990s.
